André de Almeida, our CEO & Founding Partner and former President of the Inter-American Bar Association (FIA/IABA) from 2011 to 2012, is set to participate in its 61st Annual Conference, that has begun this week. The event invites everyone to reflect on “Democracy, Rule of Law, and Freedom as Factors of Social and Economic Development.”
As part of the conference’s agenda, Almeida Advogados will host a cocktail reception on Wednesday at our São Paulo office. This gathering will bring together some of the guests and offer a valuable opportunity for exchange and networking with members of the Association who will be in the city.
Founded in 1940, IABA serves as an independent professional forum dedicated to exchanging information and opinions that strengthen the rule of law and democratic institutions throughout the Western Hemisphere. Annually, the Association organizes an international conference in one of the countries of the Americas to discuss relevant legal topics. These conferences provide a space for reflection and debate where guests can learn about, analyze, and propose improvements for the social, economic, and legal realities of the continent’s countries.
