INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION IN BRAZIL

International adoption in Brazil is not a rule, but exception. The Brazilian authorities prefer that adoption is made by Brazilian or foreigner resident in the country, so as to maintain the adoptee’s culture of origin, aimed at the preservation of his/her nationality.
